Turtle
Talk:
Turtle was unable to remove all the “pesky” surface noise from this
selection. The Happiness Boys sing of going home “down where the south begins.”
Certainly they were not singing about Billy’s birthplace, New York. They
must have been singing about Ernie’s birthplace, Norfolk, Virginia. We hope
you will enjoy this selection, noise and all.
Tech Tidbits:
"Down Where the South Begins" was
transferred using a 3.7 mil full conical stylus in a Stanton
500 stereo cartridge
at 80 rpm on a United Audio Dual 1219 turntable.
