About: Vernon Dalhart

Turtle Talk: This performance does not meet Jukebox quality standards. Kaplan's Melodists sound is uncharacteristically dull, with a capital "D.". Dalhart's vocal is brief. The vocal was probably included to sell records by capitalizing on his popularity. The flip side of this record contains Dalhart's immensely popular "The Prisoner's Song." Unfortunately, the flip side has been enjoyed TOO MANY TIMES to be remastered.

Tech Tidbits:
Edison Diamond Discs, 51666-L was transferred using a 3.7 mil full conical stylus in a Stanton 500 cartridge at 80 rpm. Turtle used Cool Edit and DC-ART 32 software to reduce noise.
