Turtle Talk:

You WILL hear more than desired surface noise. Turtle does not favor remastered performances with this much surface noise. Yet some listeners feel the surface noise adds ambiance. Turtle prefers to hear a performance as it could have been hear when the performance was new and the spring powered talking machine was properly lubricated and adjusted. Nonetheless, Turtle agrees that a bit of surface noise does add ambiance....

Tech Tidbits:
Edison Diamond Discs, 50265-L was transferred using a 3.5 mil elliptical stylus in a Stanton 500 cartridge at 80 rpm. Turtle used Cool Edit and DC-ART 32 software to capture and remaster the performance.
