Dave Kaplan has more than once brought unexpected "performers" into Turtle's studio. This time he brought a horse and a cow complete with cow bell! What's next?
Edison Diamond Disc 51260-R was transferred using a 3.7 mil full conical radius stylus in a Stanton 500 cartridge at 80 rpm. Turtle used Cool Edit and DC-ART 32 software to reduce noise and to adjust for frequency equalization differences between modern preamplifiers and acoustical recordings.
The grooves of this record are not centered on the spindle hole. Did my best to center the record but some noise related to this condition remains. Turtle will improve the off center groove technique. But this performance was "in the can' so there ain't no going back.
