Georgie Price

George E. Price was born in New York. He made his debut as a child actor in 1909. He worked in Vaudeville, performed in night clubs and starred in "Cinderella on Broadway" (1920).
He recorded a single title for Edison in 1921, "Down Around the 'Sip "Sip 'Sippy Shore," but is was never issued. He began recording for Victor in 1923. Fourteen titles were issued in the next two years.
His performing style drew comparisons with Al Jolson's. He even covered for Victor two songs that Jolson recorded for other companies.
He recorded for many other labels including Brunswick, American Record Corporation, Banner, Perfect, Conqueror, and Melotone. Price's last recording were made for the Stinson label in 1947.
